48 master patterns for a fine jewellery collection — rings, pendants, and earrings — printed in castable wax resin for direct investment casting. Surface quality was equivalent to hand-carved wax at a fraction of the time.
The Challenge
The jewellery designer needed to produce 48 unique pieces for a seasonal collection launch with a 3-week runway. Hand-carving masters at this quantity was impossible in the timeframe, and CNC wax machining couldn't achieve the organic surface forms of the designs.
The Outcome
All 48 masters produced in 4 days. Investment casting produced clean pulls with minimal cleanup. The designer noted the surface quality was indistinguishable from hand-carved pieces. The collection launched on schedule.
