Ultra-Fine SLA Resin Printing
Resolution down to 25 microns
Stereolithography printing uses a precision UV laser to cure liquid resin layer by layer, delivering the highest resolution and smoothest surface finish available in additive manufacturing. Ideal for any project where detail matters.

Why Choose SLA?
25 Micron Resolution
Layer heights down to 0.025mm capture details invisible to FDM printing — threads, surface texture, intricate geometry.
Smooth Surface Finish
Resin layers bond seamlessly, producing injection-mold-quality surfaces straight off the printer.
Isotropic Strength
SLA parts have near-uniform mechanical properties in all directions, unlike layer-weak FDM parts.
Wide Resin Range
Standard, tough, flexible, castable, and biocompatible resins for virtually any application.
Available Resins
| Resin | Properties | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Standard Resin | Rigid, smooth surface, high detail | Display models, concept parts, prototypes |
| Tough Resin | ABS-like, impact resistant, durable | Functional prototypes, snap-fit parts |
| Flexible Resin | Rubber-like, shore 50A–80A | Gaskets, wearables, grip components |
| Castable Resin | Burns out cleanly, zero ash | Jewelry casting, investment casting |
| Dental Resin | Biocompatible, ISO 10993 | Dental models, surgical guides, trays |

What is SLA Resin Printing?
Stereolithography, commonly shortened to SLA, is one of the oldest and most precise forms of 3D printing. A vat of liquid photopolymer resin is selectively cured by a focused ultraviolet laser, building your part one thin layer at a time. Because the laser can trace extremely fine paths, SLA reproduces sharp edges, smooth curves and tiny details that filament based printing simply cannot match. The result is a part with an almost injection moulded surface finish and very high dimensional accuracy. This makes SLA the natural choice for detailed prototypes, master patterns for moulds, jewellery, dental and medical models, and tabletop miniatures. With our range of specialty resins, parts can be rigid and detailed, tough and impact resistant, rubber-like and flexible, cleanly castable, or biocompatible for dental and surgical applications. There are practical considerations to keep in mind. SLA parts require washing and ultraviolet post-curing after printing, and standard resins can be more brittle than engineering filaments and may degrade under prolonged ultraviolet exposure. For very large, high load or heat resistant components we will often recommend FDM, SLS or CNC machining instead. We are always happy to advise on the best process for your specific application.
Why Global3D
Perth Based
A local Western Australian workshop you can call, visit and collect from, with no interstate shipping delays on your detailed parts.
Fast Turnaround
Most SLA jobs are printed, cured and finished within a few business days, with rush options available when deadlines are tight.
Quality Control
Every print is washed, post-cured and inspected for dimensional accuracy and surface quality before it leaves the workshop.
Resin Expertise
We help you choose the right resin and orientation for your application, balancing detail, strength and cost.
Specialty Resins
Access to tough, flexible, castable and biocompatible dental resins for demanding and specialised projects.
End To End In-House
From CAD support to printing, finishing and assembly, your whole project is handled under one roof in Perth.
Finishing & Post-Processing
Washing & Curing
Parts are washed to remove uncured resin and post-cured under UV light for full mechanical strength.
Support Removal
Supports are carefully removed and contact points cleaned back so witness marks are minimised.
Sanding & Smoothing
Surfaces can be wet sanded for an even finer finish, ready for paint or display.
Priming & Painting
Optional priming, airbrushing and hand painting for presentation models and miniatures.
Clear Finishing
Polishing and clear coating for transparent resin parts where optical clarity matters.
Assembly
Multi-part models are bonded and assembled so you receive a finished, ready-to-use piece.
