Full-scale prototype valve housing for a subsea pipeline manifold, printed in a single piece at 780mm × 420mm × 380mm. Eliminated the need for welded fabrication during the prototype phase.
The Challenge
The client needed a full-scale prototype within 5 days for a pressure-fit test — far too tight a timeline for traditional machining. The part required a single-piece construction to evaluate seal geometry.
The Outcome
Delivered in 4 days using our large-format FDM machine in Nylon PA6. The part passed all dimensional checks and the client identified a flange misalignment that was corrected before tooling investment.
