SLA can reproduce detail that filament printing simply cannot, but it rewards parts designed with the process in mind. Get the basics right and you avoid trapped resin, suction problems and supports in awkward places.
Walls and hollows
Very thin walls can cure incompletely or warp, while fully solid parts waste resin and can crack from internal stress. Hollowing large parts saves material, but only if you add drainage holes so uncured resin can escape rather than pooling inside.
Enclosed volumes without drainage create suction cups that fight the printer and ruin the print, so always give trapped resin a way out.
Supports and orientation
Supports hold the part as each layer cures, and where they touch the model they leave small marks. Orienting the part so supports land on hidden faces keeps visible surfaces clean.
Send your model through with a quote and we will set up walls, drainage and supports for a clean result.
