Global3D owns and runs OzFDM, our own filament brand. That means the material we print with, and the material we sell, is made and supported locally rather than shipped in from overseas with long lead times and inconsistent quality.
Why local matters
Filament is sensitive to moisture and handling, and a reel that has spent months in a shipping container can print very differently to one made and stored properly. Local production means fresh stock, tighter quality control and someone to call if something is not right.
It also means materials chosen with Australian conditions in mind, including grades that hold up to heat and sunlight.
