Valo Adaptive Lampshade

Valo takes its name from the Finnish word for light, and it earns it. This pendant lampshade is 3D printed with a fine ripple mesh texture across every curve, like a woven basket caught mid stitch, so when a bulb switches on inside it the whole surface breaks into hundreds of tiny, dappled pools of glow. It is printed in PLA+ with a raw, natural finish that lets warm light pass through the mesh rather than bounce straight off it, which is what gives Valo its honeycomb halo rather than a flat, even wash. The rounded drum shape holds a standard E27 fitting, so the same shade adapts from a hanging pendant on its black flex cord to a shade for a table lamp base. Hang it low over a dining table where the ripple pattern throws texture across the ceiling, or sit it on a sideboard as a warm, sculptural glow that reads more like woven art than a light fixture. Either way it is lightweight, with no glass shade to worry about breaking in transit or during a move. Printed to order here in Australia and usually ready within a couple of days. The natural raw finish shown here gives a lovely warm honey glow on its own, and we can also print Valo in white, bone or a few other stocked colours if you would like the light output a touch brighter.
