Universal Canopy For Pendant Light
A 3D printed cord clamp that tidies fabric flex cable and finally fits your IKEA pendant fitting properly.
Sometimes the smallest part of a light fitting is the one that annoys you the most. This canopy started life as a fix for the plain, slightly awkward cover that ships with IKEA SECOND and SUNNEBY pendant cords, and it has grown into a proper universal ceiling canopy for fabric flex cable pendants of almost any kind.
Pop the lid off and you will find the clever bit: a keyhole slotted bracket that screws flush to your ceiling rose, a threaded clamp with a curved cradle that grips the round braided cord firmly, and a small alignment clip that keeps everything centred and tidy. Tighten the thread by hand and the cord stops sliding, so all the pulling force sits on the canopy instead of your wiring connections.
It is 3D printed in PLA+ with a smooth cylindrical shell and a clean raw finish, the same look you see in our photos with the white fabric cord passing straight through the middle. The threads and clips print crisp every time, which matters when a part this small needs to actually hold.
Printed to order here in Australia and usually ready within one to two days. Match it to your ceiling in white, black or grey, or ask for a colour that suits your cord and your space.
