Rock Tray

A pebble-shaped PLA+ tray that catches remotes and keys, or holds a dried stem like a sculptural vase.

Some trays look like trays. This one looks like a smooth river stone that washed up on your coffee table. The organic, asymmetric silhouette curves and dips exactly the way a real pebble would, and the lightly pebbled top surface catches the light in a way that flat, moulded plastic never does. Underneath, the tray is hollow and open at both ends, like a little stone tunnel. Slide a remote, a watch, a phone charger or a chain through it and the clutter disappears while the piece still looks intentional on a shelf or console. Three holes are built into the base ready for 10mm rubber feet, so it sits flat and steady rather than rocking on an uneven tabletop. Turn it on its end and the same tunnel becomes a vase opening, perfect for a single dried stem, a trimmed branch or a cut of pampas. It will not win any prizes for holding a full bunch of fresh flowers, but as a sculptural stand for one striking stem it is hard to beat. Printed in PLA+ with a smooth matte finish, it is light enough to move around the house on a whim. Printed to order in Australia, ready in a couple of days, in a stone toned colour that suits your space.
