Orbit - Bamboo Vase
A sculptural 3D printed ring that turns one trailing bamboo stem into a striking modern centrepiece.
Meet Orbit: a single unbroken ring that holds nothing more than a glass test tube and one trailing stem of lucky bamboo, yet somehow looks like a small piece of modern sculpture. The circular silhouette is the whole design, no fussy details, just a clean donut shaped frame with the plant floating in the negative space at its centre.
Underneath that simple shape is a clever build. Orbit is 3D printed in PLA+ with a smooth matte raw finish, and the ring itself is hollow. Two 3D printed screw caps thread into the base to grip your glass test tube insert and let you add ballast, glass beads or small metal spheres work well, so the whole vase sits rock steady even with a tall, curling stem reaching up and out.
It is made for a single stalk of lucky bamboo (the trailing kind sold as Dracaena sanderiana), styled bare on a shelf or paired with other Orbit rings in different colours for a small collection. The spiral stem does the decorating, the ring just frames it.
Printed to order here in Australia, ready in a matter of days. Note that the glass test tube, bamboo stem and ballast are not included, this listing is for the 3D printed ring and screw caps only, in the colour of your choice.
