Nobody - Family

A single continuous form in grainy, sand-textured PLA+, capturing a piggyback ride for shelves, desks and mantelpieces.

Two figures, caught mid lift: a child settled onto a parent's shoulders in the easy, practiced way families carry each other every day. Nobody Family started as a personal photograph of the artist riding on their father's shoulders, and it grew into this single, continuous sculpture that holds that exact moment still. Look closely and the whole piece is covered in a fine, granular texture, almost like sandstone, that catches light differently from every angle. The figures themselves are deliberately faceless and limb-simple, with long slender legs, a raised supporting foot, and arms that wrap and hold rather than grip. It is a quiet, modern take on a very old subject: being carried. The entire sculpture prints as one connected form in PLA+, so there is no gluing separate pieces together and no fragile joints to worry about. That same material choice is what keeps the sandy surface texture and the fine tapering limbs crisp and true to the original design. Stand it on a floating shelf, a desk corner, or a mantelpiece where the light catches its height. It works beautifully alone as a considered art object, or alongside other pieces from the Nobody series for a small, evolving collection of everyday tenderness.
