Natica Vase
One curling moon snail shell, hollowed into a sturdy planter for succulents or cut flowers.
Some shells earn a second life once you spot them on a shelf, and this one is designed for exactly that. The Natica vase takes the tight, coiling spiral of a moon snail shell and hollows out its curled body into a real planter, right down to the fine ridged lines that run across the surface like natural growth rings. Designed by 3D Shook, it reads as a sculptural object first and a plant pot second.
We print it in PETG Basic rather than a standard decorative plastic, because a vase actually has a job to do. It holds water for fresh cut stems, survives the odd knock on a busy shelf, and copes far better with a sunny windowsill or an outdoor step than most 3D printed decor. The surface keeps that soft, ridged shell texture in a smooth matte finish.
Tuck a small posy of flowers into the spiral opening, or let a trailing succulent spill out over the shell's curve. It sits happily on a bookshelf between hardbacks, on a bathroom windowsill, or out on the patio table where a coastal, nature inspired shape feels right at home.
Every Natica vase is printed to order here in Australia, so lead time is short and colour is up to you, from a clean coastal white to soft blues and greens that echo real shell tones.
