Minky | Desktop Bin
A whale-inspired ribbed bin with a flip-top lid that swings open for pens, wrappers and everyday desk clutter.
Meet Minky, a desktop bin shaped like a minke whale breaching the surface. The body is printed in tight vertical ribs that echo the pleats along a whale's belly, curving in at the waist before flaring out again, so it catches the light differently from every angle.
Lift the oval lid and it swings open on a hidden hinge, angled just like a tail lifting clear of the water, then drops flush shut when you are done. At roughly 12cm across and 18cm tall (121mm x 179mm), it is sized for a desk, not a kitchen, perfect for pen shavings, sticky notes, snack wrappers or the odd bit of trim.
Each one is 3D printed in PLA+ with crisp, consistent ribbing and a smooth raw finish straight off the printer, no sanding required. Line two up in contrasting colours and they look especially good side by side on a shared desk or shelf.
Designed by Charles Regaud Design and printed to order here in Australia, usually ready within a day or two. Pick a colour that suits your workspace, from bold Candy Red to a calmer Steel Grey.
