IAP Skeleton Shelf Bracket
A 3D printed bracket that turns plain shelf hardware into the most talked-about detail in the room.
Shelf brackets are usually the bit you try to hide. This one asks to be seen. The skeleton shelf bracket swaps the standard L of folded steel for a web of smooth, bone-like struts, an organic lattice that looks grown rather than manufactured. Under a warm timber shelf, the matte black version reads like a piece of sculpture doing a day job.
Each bracket is 3D printed in PLA+, which keeps the flowing struts rigid and gives every rounded edge a smooth matte finish. The triangulated structure is not just decoration: all those interlocking cells spread the shelf load across the whole bracket, the same trick you see in bridges and bird bones.
Fitting is refreshingly normal. Countersunk screw points are built into the wall face and the top edge, so you fix the bracket to the wall, sit your shelf on top and screw up into the underside. Order as many brackets as your shelf needs and space them like any conventional support.
Printed to order in Australia with a one to two day turnaround. Matte black against light oak is the combination we photograph, but white, grey and other colours are available to suit your wall.
