Flowing Shade Ls
A 3D printed shade with a twisting hexagon silhouette that turns your pendant light into a glowing centrepiece.
Picture a lantern that looks like it is mid twist. This pendant lamp shade is built from stacked hexagon facets that rotate slightly as they rise, so diagonal seams spiral around the surface like a gentle corkscrew. The silhouette cinches in partway up before flaring back out, and the rim at both ends breaks into a jagged, zigzag edge rather than a flat line, giving the whole piece a hand folded, origami feel.
It is 3D printed in PLA+ with thin, even walls made for exactly this job: letting light pass through softly rather than blasting straight out. Switch it on and the facets catch the glow at different angles, so some panels sit bright and honeyed while others fall into soft shadow, the kind of warm, layered light a paper lantern gives off, minus the fire risk.
At around 19cm across and just over 18cm tall, it sits comfortably as a single pendant over a dining table or reading nook, or in a cluster of two or three at staggered heights for a real style moment. It slips onto your existing pendant fitting, so there is no rewiring involved, just a shade swap and a very different room.
Printed to order here in Australia, ready in a day or two. We recommend Natural or White for the fullest, warmest glow, though Cool White and Beige both do lovely, slightly different things with the light if you want to try something else.
