Floppy Flounder - Articulating Fish
A wobbly, print in place flatfish with dozens of flexing segments, made for curious hands and busy desks.
Meet the Floppy Flounder, a flat bodied fish with a fin full of secrets. Dozens of interlocking segments run down its back like scales on a real fish, and every single one flexes when you nudge it, so the whole body ripples and wobbles across the desk the way a flounder glides along the sea floor. Two oversized eyes with a painted look sit low on the face, giving it that classic flatfish charm and a lot of personality for such a small creature.
The whole toy prints in one go, with no assembly, no glue and no small parts to lose along the way. We print it in PLA+, which gives each segment a smooth, low friction surface so the joints move against each other straight off the printer instead of needing filing or breaking in.
It makes a genuinely satisfying fidget for a desk, a sturdy hands on toy for curious kids, or a quirky little sea creature for a shelf next to the rest of your ocean themed collection. The tail fin flares out at the back for a proper finishing flourish, and because there is nothing to snap off, it holds up well to plenty of handling.
Printed to order here in Australia in a colour that suits your space, from the sunset orange shown through to bright, kid friendly tones.
