Firkle

A sculptural planter with rippling wave ridges and a pinched dimple, printed in PLA+ for shelves.

Some vases sit quietly in the corner. This one wants to be picked up. The Rippled Wave Barrel Vase is a bulbous, barrel-shaped piece with a wide open mouth and a body that swells gently outward before tapering back in near the base, like a drum caught mid-breath. Its whole surface is covered in continuous horizontal ridges that ripple around the curve, a texture that comes straight from the printing process itself rather than being added afterwards. Look closely at the front and you will spot a soft, pinched dimple where the ridges dip inward, giving the piece a tactile, almost cushioned quality that catches the light beautifully. Printed in PLA+, the vase holds a smooth, consistent finish across every wave, so the ripples stay crisp from rim to base. Use it to hold a single dried stem, sit a low-fuss plant inside, or simply let it stand alone as a sculptural object on a shelf or console where its curves can do the talking. Ours is shown here in a bold, playful pink, but the same rippled silhouette suits a softer palette too, from sage green to sky blue to plain white. Printed to order right here in Australia, so your vase starts life as a spool of filament and reaches you within days.
