Drift

Drift started as a simple question: what if a lamp shade could move without moving? The answer is this piece, a compact barrel of a shade wrapped in one continuous wave that spirals from base to crown like wind caught mid gust. We print each shade in PLA+, layer by layer, letting the thin ridged walls do double duty: they hold the sculptural texture crisp, and they let a warm bulb glow softly through the plastic itself. Switch Drift on at night and the grooves catch shadow, so the whole surface seems to ripple. It is deliberately compact, sized to sit on a bedside table, a console or a shelf without asking for much space at all. The low round base beneath the shade comes in a contrast colour, we have shown a deep wine red and a dusty rose, so the lamp reads as considered rather than accidental. Every Drift lamp is printed to order, support-free and FDM-friendly by design, and typically leaves our workshop within 1 to 2 days. Bring your own warm white bulb or LED puck light, and let the shade handle the atmosphere.
