Dragon Vase
A ribbed, scale-like surface flares from a slim foot into a bold rim, ready for fresh flowers.
Some vases are just cylinders with better manners. This one is not. Designed in Rhino and Grasshopper around a curious dragon-like geometry, the surface ripples with interlocking scale-like ridges that wind from the narrow foot right up to a flared, uneven rim, as if the vessel caught its breath mid-exhale.
We print it in glossy PETG Basic rather than the usual decorative PLA+, because this is a vase that actually holds water and fresh stems, not just dried ones. The extra damp resistance means you can cut real flowers from the garden and trust the vessel underneath them.
Stand it on a hallway table, a sunlit windowsill or the centre of a dining setting and let the light catch every ridge and hollow of that scaled texture. It reads sculptural even empty, so it earns its spot on the shelf between arrangements.
Printed to order in Australia with a low interior infill for a lighter, honest handmade feel. Pick the classic sunbaked yellow shown here, or ask for copper, emerald green or gold to match your space.
