Concha Cube

A shell-inspired cutout cube that turns a single tea light into scattered shadow patterns across your room.

Concha means shell in Spanish, and this little cube earns the name. Its four walls are covered edge to edge with a fanned, scale-like cutout pattern, as if a scatter of tiny shells had been pressed into the surface. Drop a tea light inside and the whole piece turns from a quiet cube into a glowing lantern. The design started life as a parametric model in Rhino3D and Grasshopper, which is why every facet lines up so precisely across all four sides. We print it in PLA+, a material that holds those fine, pointed cutout shapes crisply instead of letting them blur, so the pattern reads clearly whether the light is on or off. At 80 x 80 x 80mm it is a compact tabletop piece, small enough for a bathroom shelf, a dinner table or a windowsill, big enough to throw a proper scatter of shadow across the wall behind it. The open top means any standard tea candle drops straight in, no fiddly assembly required. Printed to order here in Australia and ready within a couple of days, the Concha Cube works equally well as a warm addition to your own home or a thoughtful gift for someone who likes their decor with a bit of story behind it. Pick a colour that suits your space, from soft neutrals to something bolder.
