Bouba – Candlelit Christmas Tree - photo 1

Bouba – Candlelit Christmas Tree

A soft, rounded 3D printed tree that glows warmly from within over a small LED tealight.

Some Christmas trees are all sharp angles and pointed branches. Bouba is the opposite: a gentle, rounded silhouette with soft dips and swells that feels more like a snow drift than a fir tree. The name comes from the bouba kiki effect, the well known idea that round shapes read as bouba and spiky shapes read as kiki. This tree is bouba through and through. Each one is 3D printed with fine vertical ribbing running from base to tip, so when you slip a small LED tealight underneath, the whole shape glows a warm honey gold from within. The tealight sits inside a short cylindrical base that becomes the trunk, and the ribbed walls scatter the light evenly rather than in one hot spot. Printed in PLA+ for a clean, consistent finish on every ridge, Bouba works as a single statement piece on a mantel or windowsill, or as a trio of different heights clustered on a sideboard for a softly glowing mini forest. It is an easy, budget friendly way to add candlelit warmth to a room. Printed to order in Australia and ready in a couple of days. White and natural finishes give the most frosted, snowy glow, while transparent leans into an icy glass look.
