‘8 Ball Salt Shaker’
A pocket sized pool ball hiding a working salt shaker, printed in tough PETG for daily kitchen use.
Every game room deserves one object that makes people pick it up and turn it over in their hands. This one looks, at a glance, like a genuine pool ball lifted straight off the table: a rounded black sphere with the classic white number 8 disc set into the top.
Pick it up and the trick reveals itself. That white 8 disc is actually a snug removable cap. Twist it free and you will find a cluster of small holes underneath, exactly where the salt shakes out, completely invisible when the cap is seated. Refilling is as simple as popping the cap, tipping in salt, and pressing it back into place.
We print this one in PETG Basic rather than our usual decorative plastic, because a salt shaker sits somewhere damp and gets handled daily, and PETG shrugs that off far better than a display only material. It comes straight off the printer with a raw finish, so you can see the fine circular layer lines wrapping the sphere, a small reminder that this piece was built one pass at a time rather than moulded on a production line.
Sized to sit comfortably in one palm, it is equally at home next to the salt and pepper on a dinner table or parked on a bar cart beside the good scotch. Printed to order here in Australia, in black to match a real ball or in white if you would rather it stand out.
