OzFDM Silk PLA Rainbow combines glossy silk and metallic rainbow colours in one spool, flowing through the spectrum with a lustrous shine as the print progresses. Its consistent diameter and round shape give exceptional layer bonding, so the colour transitions look smooth and continuous rather than patchy or banded.
Options like Metal Rainbow, Rainbow Candy and Macaron make it a genuine showstopper for vases, art pieces and decorative models, and the shifting colours are especially effective on tall spiralised or vase-mode prints where each layer reveals a slightly different hue. It delivers high-quality, vibrant prints with reliable strength, so it suits professionals producing display pieces for clients just as well as hobbyists printing for themselves.
As with other silk filaments, aim for a slightly slower print speed and well-tuned retraction, since stringing and blobs stand out more against a glossy finish than they would on a matte filament. A clean, level first layer will also pay off in the finished sheen.
