OzFDM PVA is a dedicated support material designed to make complex prints simple. Because it dissolves completely in plain water, you can print intricate overhangs, internal cavities and undercuts that would otherwise be impossible, then simply wash the supports away, leaving clean surfaces with no scarring, no snapping off supports by hand and no sanding to tidy up the marks they leave behind.

It works as a support and interface layer alongside PLA, TPU and PA, which makes it a natural fit for dual-extrusion setups where the model prints in one material and PVA prints purely as scaffolding. That combination suits organic shapes, articulated models, ducting and any design with overhangs steeper than your main filament can bridge on its own.

Because PVA is hygroscopic, keep the spool sealed with desiccant between prints - damp PVA extrudes poorly and can string badly, so dry storage matters more with this material than most others. To dissolve supports, submerge the printed part in a container of plain water and give it time; gentle agitation or lightly warmed water speeds the process along without needing any special solvents. The 0.5kg spool is a practical size for keeping a dedicated support filament on hand without committing a full kilogram to a material you use in smaller quantities alongside your main spool.
