An easier-printing PETG with a metallic finish

OzFDM Metallic PETG-HS combines a lustrous metallic sheen with a specially modified PETG that prints easier than standard PETG. Expect low warping, non-cracking behaviour and lower print and bed temperatures, all while keeping PETG's strength and heat resistance intact underneath that shimmering surface.

The metallic finish suits decorative pieces, trophies, trims and eye-catching functional parts - anywhere a project benefits from looking like polished metal without the weight, cost or machining involved in the real thing. Because the HS formula runs at lower temperatures and handles more forgivingly than regular PETG, it's also a comfortable option for printers that have historically struggled with PETG stringing or bed adhesion.

It runs happily at high speed, so it's a good match for printers set up for faster throughput without sacrificing the metallic effect on the surface. As with any PETG, keep retraction settings dialled in to avoid stringing between features, and let the part cool before handling since the fresh sheen shows fingerprints and marks more readily while still warm. Available in a lineup of gold, silver and jewel-tone metallics.
