OzFDM PC-ABS marries the toughness of ABS with the heat resistance and rigidity of polycarbonate, and adds a subtle sparkle to the finish. With a heat deflection temperature of 123°C, it is made for parts that have to keep their strength when things get hot, rather than softening or warping the way a standard ABS or PETG part might.
It is a strong choice for automotive components that sit near engine heat, electrical housings and enclosures that need to contain some warmth without deforming, and functional prototypes that are being tested under conditions closer to their final working environment. The blend's impact resistance also makes it a good fit for parts that get knocked around in day-to-day use, not just ones that need to survive heat.
Print in an enclosed, well-ventilated enclosure for the most reliable results - PC-ABS behaves much like ABS in that it wants a stable, draught-free chamber temperature to avoid warping and layer delamination, and ABS fumes should always be vented properly. Because it prints hotter than PLA or PETG, give the first layer extra attention and make sure your bed adhesion method is dialled in before starting a large part. It's available in eight colours, each carrying that characteristic subtle sparkle through the finish.
