OzFDM HIPS is a dedicated support material made from HIPS 1180, designed to partner with your ABS and ASA prints on dual-extrusion setups. Print your supports in HIPS, then dissolve them cleanly away for crisp overhangs and complex geometry.

It earns its keep on parts that would be difficult or impossible to support with the same material as the main print: overhangs, internal channels, and complex assemblies where breaking away standard supports would mar the surface or be impossible to reach at all. Because it is completely soluble in limonene, HIPS lifts out without scarring or manual cleanup, leaving smooth surfaces where supports used to be, even inside cavities a scraper or pliers could never reach.

Available in Natural and Black on a 1KG spool, it prints alongside your ABS or ASA on a dual-extrusion machine using similar chamber and temperature conditions, so it is worth checking your slicer has a matched HIPS profile loaded on the support extruder before starting a dual-material print.

Nozzle temperature: 220-240°C (230°C recommended)
Bed temperature: 80-110°C (100°C recommended)
