OzFDM Flexible PLA gives you bend, stretch and shock absorption with the friendly print behaviour of PLA. Made from innovative PBAT-based raw materials, it is an eco-conscious way to print parts that need to flex rather than snap, without the steep learning curve some flexible filaments bring.

Think RC tyres, custom phone cases, grips, seals and gaskets, anywhere a rigid material would crack. It also suits hinges, straps and protective bumpers on parts that take the occasional knock, since the material absorbs impact rather than transferring it straight through to whatever it is protecting, and it is a good option for prototyping a flexible part before committing to injection-moulded rubber or TPU tooling.

It prints slow and cool for clean flexible results, so dial your speeds back and let it lay down cleanly rather than pushing print speed the way you might with a rigid PLA. A direct-drive extruder generally handles flexible materials more reliably than a Bowden setup, so if you are getting skipped steps or tangles, slowing down further is usually the first fix to try, along with checking that the filament path has no tight bends for it to buckle against.
