OzFDM ASA-CF reinforces weatherproof ASA with carbon fibre, delivering superior strength, stiffness and a premium matte finish. It is engineered for demanding parts that also have to survive the outdoors, thanks to ASA's natural UV resistance, and for makers who want the look and rigidity of a carbon composite without giving up weather resistance.

It suits engineering brackets, drone and RC airframe components, automotive trim and industrial fixtures where rigidity, low weight and a clean matte look all matter at once, particularly parts that will spend their working life outside or in a vehicle. With a tight 1.75mm tolerance of ±0.05mm on a 1KG spool, it is also well suited to precision engineering and automotive applications where consistent diameter matters for extrusion accuracy and repeatable dimensions across a print.

A hardened or wear-resistant nozzle is recommended for abrasive carbon-filled filaments, since the fibre content will wear a standard brass nozzle faster than an unfilled material. It is worth checking your slicer's recommended profile for a carbon-fibre ASA before a long print, and printing in a ventilated enclosure as you would for standard ASA, since it warps under the same conditions as unfilled ASA if the chamber is not stable.
