OzFDM ASA is the material to reach for when parts have to live outdoors. Made from high-grade acrylonitrile styrene acrylate, it shrugs off UV, weather and temperature swings far better than ABS while keeping excellent impact resistance, so parts stay strong rather than turning brittle after a season outside.

It is the natural choice for anything that lives in the sun and rain long-term: signage, outdoor enclosures, automotive trim and badges, garden and letterbox fittings, and brackets or housings mounted outside where a standard filament would eventually yellow, crack or go brittle. With antistatic properties and broad printer compatibility, it is a reliable engineering choice for prototypes as well as finished outdoor parts, and a straightforward step up for anyone already comfortable printing ABS.

Available across a wide colour range and best run in a ventilated enclosure, since ASA benefits from the same warping control as ABS. Allow the chamber to stabilise before a tall or wide print and keep draughts away from the build area for the cleanest surface finish, and check your slicer's recommended ASA profile if you are moving across from a standard ABS setup.
