A tougher all-rounder than PLA

OzFDM Standard ABS is a dependable all-rounder for makers who need tougher parts than PLA can offer. It lays down with strong layer adhesion and a smooth finish, making it a solid pick for prototypes, functional components and everyday end-use parts, and a natural next step once a project outgrows what PLA can handle.

It is a natural fit for anything that needs more impact strength or heat tolerance than PLA can give: enclosures for electronics, brackets and mounts, tool handles, and parts that might sit somewhere warm like a car dash or a sunny shed. Because it machines and sands well after printing, it also suits prototypes you intend to finish, drill or bond into an assembly, or parts you plan to prime and paint for a final look.

With good impact strength and one of the widest colour ranges we stock, it is easy to match a project or a brand. For the best results, print in an enclosed, well-ventilated space to keep temperatures stable, since draughts and open frames are the main cause of ABS warping and corner lift, and a heated enclosure will noticeably improve results on larger or taller parts.
