The laser only reproduces what your file tells it to, so the quality of your artwork largely decides the quality of the result. A little preparation avoids fuzzy edges and surprises.
Vectors, contrast and detail
For cutting and crisp line work, vector artwork is ideal because it scales without losing sharpness. For engraved images, high contrast and good resolution matter, since the laser translates tone into depth or shade.
Very fine lines and tiny text can disappear or fill in depending on the material, so it pays to keep detail within sensible limits.
Send us the right file
If you are not sure your artwork is ready, send it through and we will check it before any material is committed. We will tell you if a tweak will give your laser engraving a cleaner result.
