A resin part fresh off the printer is coated in uncured resin and is not yet at full strength. Cleaning and curing are the steps that finish the job, and doing them properly is essential for both performance and safe handling.
Clean first, then cure
Washing removes the sticky layer of uncured resin so the surface is clean and the part is safe to handle. Curing then completes the reaction, bringing the part up to its intended hardness and stability.
The right timing depends on the resin and the part, since over-curing can make some resins brittle.
