SLA can deliver incredible detail, but the finishing plan starts before printing.

Supports: protect show surfaces

Place supports on hidden faces where possible. A great print can be ruined by support marks on the wrong side.

Wash and cure timing matters

Over-washing can soften edges; under-washing leaves residue that affects paint adhesion. Cure consistently to avoid brittleness surprises.

Sanding stages (keep the detail)

Work progressively. Don’t jump straight to fine grit — it wastes time and rounds edges.

Primers: choose the right one for resin

A good primer reveals defects early and improves paint adhesion. Light coats preserve detail.

If you need a showpiece finish, tell us the intended viewing distance, lighting, and handling requirements.
